Een gratis weggever is een van de meest aantrekkelijke manieren om je e-maillijst te laten groeien voor jouw marketing. Je trekt ideale (potentiële) klanten aan met de waarde die jij te bieden hebt en je kunt ze direct bereiken via hun inbox (zonder rekening te moeten houden met een algoritme), win-win. 

Het lijkt simpel: je creëert een weggever en zet ‘m online. En dan is het wachten op de aanmeldingen… Toch?

Ik kan je vertellen dat die aanmeldingen alleen komen wanneer jouw weggever ook daadwerkelijk onweerstaanbaar is. Zo onweerstaanbaar, dat mensen met liefde bereid zijn hun e-mailadres af te geven. 

Met deze vijf tips heb jij binnen no-time die onweerstaanbare weggever die je helpt een fanbase op te bouwen.

1. Stem af op jouw ideale klant

Om te starten met het creëren van een onweerstaanbare weggever moet je goed voor ogen hebben wie jouw ideale klant is. Een ideale klant is de persoon die zich aangetrokken tot je voelt omdat jij kunt inspelen op een bepaalde pijn die hij of zij ervaart. Breng deze ideale klant zo volledig mogelijk in kaart: welk probleem heeft je ideale klant? Welk verlangen? Waar ligt hij/zij van wakker? Wat zijn de kernwaarden? Of persoonlijkheidskenmerken?

Mensen schrijven zich niet voor niets in op jouw e-maillijst. Ze zoeken een oplossing voor hun probleem of verlangen (tell them what they want, give them what they need 😉 ). Als je dit probleem of verlangen van jouw ideale klant glashelder hebt, is het tijd voor stap 2.

2. Bepaal je einddoel

Een gratis (onweerstaanbare) weggever creëer je natuurlijk niet zonder doel. Het is belangrijk dat er een link zit tussen jouw weggever en de producten en/of diensten die je aanbiedt. Je wilt namelijk dat, naar aanleiding van je gratis weggever, jouw ideale klanten stap voor stap, via je e-mailserie, bereid genoeg raken om samen met je te werken. Oftewel: dat ze iets van je gaan afnemen. Jouw aanbod moet dus een logische vervolgstap zijn op jouw onweerstaanbare weggever. Bepaal dus eerst voor welk product of dienst jij jouw weggever gaat inzetten voordat je jouw weggever gaat creëren.  

3. Soort weggever dat past bij je ideale klant

Nu we weten wie die ideale klant is én wat jouw einddoel is: is het tijd om een passende weggever te ontwikkelen. Hou hierbij altijd een paar dingen in je achterhoofd, zoals: hoeveel tijd heeft jouw ideale klant? Hoe consumeert hij of zij graag content? 

Er zijn verschillende vormen weggevers, zoals:

  • E-book
  • Videoserie of -lessen
  • Mini-training
  • One-pager / infographic

4. Geef een quick win

Ondanks dat de onweerstaanbare weggever gratis is, moet het al wel een oplossing bieden voor het probleem of verlangen dat jouw ideale klant heeft. Iets wat snel resultaat boekt, en wat jouw ideale klant doet verlangen naar meer. Wat kun je hem of haar nú bieden om een stap dichterbij te komen? Denk hierbij aan het verhelderen van zijn of haar probleem of verlangen. Of dat hij of zij controle krijgt over een bepaald onderwerp.

Waarom? Omdat je op deze manier jouw ideale klant uitdaagt. Voorbeeld: ‘Wow, als ze al zoveel informatie GRATIS weggeeft, hoeveel meer heeft ze dan te bieden met het betaalde programma?’

5. Wees specifiek en toon je expertstatus

Nu je bepaald hebt voor wie je je onweerstaanbare weggever gaat creëren, wat het einddoel is, welke vorm je gebruikt en wat het resultaat is van jouw e-book, ga je de inhoud creëren. Bepaal welke kennis en informatie er nodig is om dit te behalen. Wees hierbij specifiek: wat ga je de ideale klant in deze weggever precies bieden? En welke kennis of informatie is hiervoor nodig?

Door specifiek te zijn trek je ook alleen de juiste mensen aan naar jouw e-maillijst die enthousiast zijn over jouw producten en diensten (en die uiteindelijk ook bereid zijn betaalde klant te worden) én kun je echt laten zien welke kwaliteiten jij in huis hebt; dat je jouw ideale klant daadwerkelijk kunt helpen met zijn of haar pijn of verlangen.

Bonus tip

Vergeet nooit om jouw ideale klant in actie te laten komen! Anders heb je grote kans dat het alleen tot consumeren van jouw content blijft. Door jouw ideale klant een concrete Call To Action te geven, zet jij aan tot actie!
